blasting stereos...

love

"if you really love someone hard enough, you will want to change for that special someone"
"everyday can be valentine's day if two people truly appreciate each other"
"love is to sacrifice, to give and not hoping for something in return"
...and the list goes on.

since v-day's around the corner, i might as well blog something about love. hurhur. anyway, how many of you guys have heard of the above statements, haha, or even said it more than once to someone before. do i see many hands? haha. what i'm trying to drive at is that so many people out there know these so-called textbook answers to love, yet how many of us actually practice it?

i'll give you all a minute or so to think about it.

now, since many people know what to do when you're in love, i should take it that your relationships must be pretty successful, right? wrong. if these virtues of love really work, why do people still tell me that "its common for couples to quarrel"? my point is, that even though there may be a certain way to go about handling a relationship, ultimately, nothing is standard. every relationship is different, cos everyone is different.

so, i say we shun all these 'sweet talk' about how great love should be and be realistic about it.
love is not something that can be explained, so let's just leave it as that.

just let your other halves feel what your love is to them and have a great v-day this coming week. :)
