blasting stereos...

where's my statue of liberty?

if the statue of liberty is really about liberation, i wish singapore builds one now. unit life has been terrible for me. do not wish to dwell on too much, but i do feel like i'm part of the Les Miserables, literally. i guess blogging is the best way for me to go on yakking and complaining about my plight as i do not wish to tire my dear's ears.

i just miss being a civilian.

do you see elson, which of course, is me, as a person who will go all out for the Army? do you even see me going all out for myself? i'm just not that garang, if i may use the term. i just want to serve my time. (haha, doesn't this sound like i'm doing my time in prison?) i'm just very upset that i'm not given any authority over myself. they say time is precious, priceless, whatever, then what do i get in return for bowing down to the Biggies and giving two years of my life? i've had enough of brainwash, so spare me the mouthfuls.

you see, the deciding period that could affect my future is now, and to me, i see this as one of the more expensive time of my life. you guys can take two years of my life some other time, but why make it now? oh, so that you can change me from a boy to a man, and so that i can cope with the world outside? WOW!

please, just shut up.

watching 'The King and The Clown' reminded me of the time when i was still doing literature. Hamlet, in particular. make no mistake, i do not enjoy studying shakespeare's works, but i really loved studying literature. i miss the times when i could use my brain constructively, think the way i want to, and do the things i want to. now, that's freedom. of course, you have to write within the constrains of the A4 -size papers, but thinking-wise, you are not constrained, nor restrained by the size of your skull.

i just feel deprived.
