hello! i'm back!

actually i came back on thursday, but i was too lazy to blog, so ya. life in tekong? terrible outstanding! i think i did more than a hundred chin-ups in that two weeks (ok, it was assisted). food there was a little bland outstanding!

ok, i'm quite sick of saying outstanding. anyway, i'll tell you this - when you're at tekong, you can expect yourself to be out of touch with the world. we don't know about the singapore-thailand conflict, the commonwealth games (is that it?), etc. we feel so stranded la. then there's this problem about not having enough battery power to sustain a good conversation with your loved ones because handphone chargers are banned in tekong (for fear that the power plant will overheat and go POOF!).

seriously, i think that the worst feeling is when your handphone battery power is running low and your girlfriend is experiencing a bad time. you feel so helpless because you can't be there for her. ok, and because you can't be there for her, she gets a little upset because she doesnt feel that she's as important as before. the result of all these - short conversations. just terribly miserable. you wanna tell her how much you miss her, yet you dont have the resource (battery power) to do so, and she thinks that you're not missing her. ugh. i'm rambling. but that's really how organised my brain is when i was at tekong (which, of course, means i was a total wreck)

today is my 10th monthiversary with my sweetheart. i want to take this time to let her know that i love her a lot, that i really missed her a lot when i was in Tekong, and that i'm very sorry i couldnt be there when she needed me, yet again. its definitely not easy for you to be all alone, yet attached. irony? sigh. i'm sorry.

if given a choice, i'd rather be there for you than be there for my country. you mean the WORLD to me, and well, a country is merely a country, something that's just a tiny part of the world. there is nothing worth comparing, at all.

leechiu, i love you...
