my slippers!!

i got ripped today
ok, actually, its my slippers that got ripped.
it got eaten by the escalator!
can you believe it?
my slippers actually got stuck at the teeth.
darn.
$50+ slippers just died like that.
my poor slippers....

remember the tale about the weaponsmith
who sold the shield that could never be pierced through
as well as the spear that could pierce through anything in the world?
and the moral of the story being that one should not contradict oneself?
right, i think i just found a way not to contradict.
when the shield is used against the spear,
