Trying to portray the me who: aint exactly hyped about chinese new year

Chinese New Year
never was into chinese new year
maybe i wasnt brought up this way
we dont even do spring cleaning
or practice all that chinese custom
the day of chinese new year aint very special
its merely one of those days where relatives gather.
i'm not into those gatherings either
why?
i dislike greeting my relatives one by one
for those who don't know
i have 20+ aunts and uncles
around 14 maternal ones
this, i tell you, is hell.
then they'd ask about school
why?
becuase adults and us have no other topics to start
next they'll ask about our love lives
which of course i give the same answer every year.
then they'll do adult talk
and leave the 'kids' to do our own things
i dont talk to my cousins
well lets just say i prefer talking to my friends
never was close with my cousins.

*i'm getting tired now, but i'm gonna continue anyway

yeah, maybe some play-gambling,
if you know what i mean.
its when we use very small bets to play
say... 10 cents?
finally before we leave,
they'd remind us to bring our gfs or bfs the next time we meet
which is like every 3-4 months.
i always replied with a forced smile.

or just suave?
so those rugged-looking people arent?
