as a child

Trying to portray the me who: just found out something interesting

my childhood stories
i never could count,
said my relatives
telling me a story about my childhood.
when asked how old i was,
the five year old me showed three fingers
and said...
"4 ninja turtles"

placing a couple of random objects in front of me
my grandparents asked to choose
supposedly, it should determine my future career, of sorts.
they placed a soccer ball, a book, a calculator and a flute
i crawled towards the objects,
since i was still a crawling baby
they said i hesitated at the book,
then moved away to the flute,
kicking the calculator in the process
(which explains why i hate maths)
but instead of holding on to the flute
something else caught my eye
it was behind where they placed the flute.
i crawled towards it,
with the flute in my hand,
i hugged the typewriter!
much unknown,
but is it no wonder that the typewriter was my play toy?
