my pastor said today
for awhile i was puzzled
then i thought
true, cuz its an identity

"we are in the world,
but not of the world"
its not the first time he said that
i dont really know how to explain
i guess you need to grasp it yourself.

"lead a carefree life"
a life without worries
how do you attain that?
trust in the Lord your God
will try, will try.

basically today's church message
was kinda enlightening i would say
it answered some of the doubts i had
and re-established my faith
of sorts.
yeah. chew on that.

for people to risk their lives?
i'd rather give the money
to people who need it"
a lady said this to her daughter,
referring to the Renci Charity Show
at first i found it contradicting
you're calling to donate anyway
not like that the money
goes to the insurance policies
for the celebrities.
then slowly i pondered
remember the time
when these shows first started?
the celebrities were merely singing
or doing other stuff
look at what has happened today
its become a competition
to see who's more daring
though one may argue
that the donations also increase
as a result.
but what does this show?
it shows the violence in man
of sorts
it has become a
i'll-donate-if-you-risk-your-life
kind of thing
how ironic and ridiculous
dont you think?
